There were dinosaur adventures at the hospice last week, when we welcomed our partners from the National Museum of Wales along with their collection of dinosaur teeth, dinosaur bones, and dino poo! The visit was part of the joint Start Hospice project, funded by Children and the Arts, which aims to enable our families to engage in creative activity and learning opportunities whilst at the same time having fun and making lasting memories together. As well as getting to touch the exhibits, which included a real dinosaur footprint, families and staff also made some dinosaur masks and had story time. Thanks to the museum for making the visit a roaring success!
We had ourselves our very own little #Eurovision with a Tŷ Hafan twist when Josie and friends did some makaton singing hands with the children this week. Inclusive play that is so important to a child's development and communication. We also did some flag decorating to show our support!
Today we are celebrating #internationalnursesday in style with an afternoon tea and a performance from the fantastic Phil Harmonics choir. Thank you to our amazing nurses for everything you do!
#Family Friday today features our lovely supporters at Pugh’s Garden Centre, who visited the hospice last week after their amazing fundraising feat, raising nearly £12,000 to pay for a day.
