All week we've been telling you about our wonderful nurses, the people who make Tŷ Hafan the place it is. In this week's #FamilyFriday, we hear from Sara, the nurse who will be bringing Tŷ Hafan's care into the Powys community. "I’ll be visiting children in their own homes and helping them with their physical needs, pain management and symptom control while supporting the families with their emotional, social and other needs." https://zurl.co/xKKO

Here is our video on what makes a Tŷ Hafan nurse so special in case you missed it. Tŷ Hafan simply couldn't exist if it wasn't for the fantastic nurses whose care goes beyond the medicine. £20 can pay for an hour of care from our community nurse, something that gives our families another option for their care, giving them choice. Please support our nurses today at www.tyhafan.org/nurses

Spending one-on-one time with the family means that our nurses can develop a trust that perhaps wouldn't be possible in a hospital setting with other patients on a ward. At Tŷ Hafan, we can provide that sole focus which reinforces trust. Visit www.tyhafan.org to support our nurses today

"It's moments like this that make being a Tŷ Hafan nurse the best job in the world. We are with a child for the whole of a 12 hour shift, so we really get to know them and develop a bond. I love my job." - Tŷ Hafan nurse Gemma Lewis One to one care is so important for a nurse to develop a bond with the child and their family. It leads to trust and allows them to feel comfortable to accept the help of the nurse. Our nurses couldn't do this without your support www.tyhafan.org/nurses

There are so many families with life-limited children in Wales who are struggling but are unable to access the help they need. We want to change that. We need to expand Tŷ Hafan’s reach outside of the hospice and provide crucial clinical care to those who need it in the comfort of their own home. Your support will ensure that Tŷ Hafan is there for the next 20 years. Visit www.tyhafan.org/nurses to support our nurses today

Over Tŷ Hafan's 20 years of being there, the needs of our families have changed. We have supported over 800 children in this time and with conditions becoming more complex and treatments more successful, the nature of our service has needed to keep up. Our nurses constantly strive to provide the best possible care for Tŷ Hafan children, whether that's in the hospice or out in the community. Please support us today so that we can be there for the next generation of Welsh children www.tyhafan.org/nurses
