Ty Hafan

#family friday

fundraising by design

Anyone living in Penarth or running to catch the train from Penarth Station could not have missed our very special Snowpup window display in aid of Tŷ Hafan.

He was certainly the talk of the town, dressed up as Rudolph, complete with a red nose and antlers and sporting a knitted bobble hat, pulling a sledge full of prezzies.

We also sold the ‘paint your own’ Snowdog kits on behalf of the charity, alongside a donation to attend a painting course in the New Year. We had painting sessions for both adult and children last weekend, expertly guided by professional artist Sheridan Ward. Great fun was had by all and there were some amazing individual designs.

We also had a very special delivery of a bespoke painted ceramic puppy to raffle by internationally acclaimed artist Terry Setch. This was drawn last weekend by Terry himself. Joseph, aged 10, was the lucky winner of the raffle and was thrilled with his bespoke mini Snowpup.

We managed to raise £410 with the raffle & workshops and have sold 19 mini ceramic Snowdogs so far. We have seven left to sell, so anyone looking for the last opportunity to buy one and raise more funds for the charity, please pop into Glass by Design at 1 Station Approach, Penarth www.glassbydesign.co.uk

We very much enjoyed raising money and promoting Tŷ Hafan in the community and look forward to future possibilities to work together.
