Martin has spent over twenty years working with major retailers and financial services companies advising on branch development planning, positioning and developing retail marketing initiatives.
He trained and qualified in the Welsh National School of Medicine in 1969. He has worked both as a General Practitioner and also for the Local Mental Health Service, having a particular interest in Community Care until he retired in 2009.
Chris qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1988. He has experience of working for quoted and unquoted companies in a variety of sectors including manufacturing, engineering, software, financial services, media and advertising and recruitment.
Helen has been a solicitor for 26 years and member of the Senior Civil Service for 12 years, working in the public sector in Wales for most of her career. She is Deputy Director of Legal Services for the Welsh Government based in Cardiff, Diversity Champion for the Office of the First Minister and Cabinet Office within Welsh Government and oversees the Welsh Government's Trainee Solicitor Scheme.
Carol is an experienced senior nurse with a background in General Nursing, Midwifery and Health Visiting. Carol has over 13 years experience working directly with children, young people and their families and an extensive experience of working in integrated multiagency teams and working at a senior level across Wales.
Dawn is CIPD qualified and has more than 15 years experience in HR Management and Leadership. Her previous role was strategic HR Business Partner and Executive Board member at Sony in Pencoed where she delivered organisational change through a major transformation programme.
Rob has joined Tŷ Hafan, continuing his career which has been deep-rooted in the accountancy, not-for-profit and retail sectors. Rob is a Chartered Accountant with significant experience in managing his own business, training, and working in the third sector and retail organisations as a finance director.
Claire has worked in the not-for-profit sector in London and Auckland for over ten years and has experience across all areas of fundraising and marketing. Before joining Tŷ Hafan, Claire was the Director of Fundraising for Ronald McDonald House Charities in New Zealand.
Keith was born and brought up in Cardiff. He went to Whitchurch Grammar School and trained as a doctor at the Welsh National School of Medicine, qualifying in 1976. He worked as a General Practitioner in Barry for over 36 years until he retired in 2016. He was a trainer for General Practice and was involved in teaching, particularly in the field of respiratory medicine.
‘I am delighted to have been appointed as a trustee at Tŷ Hafan Children’s Hospice, a charity that I have supported for a long time. My family and I have recently relocated back to South Wales close to Sully where I was born and felt like this was the ideal time to get involved.
