My 12-year-old sister Demi Leigh Taylor goes to Tŷ Hafan for respite care, along with my mother Louise Williams and her partner Paul.
Having seen the care and support Tŷ Hafan provides for Demi, I was thoroughly impressed with the top-class facilities and staff down at Tŷ Hafan.
After seeing this care and attention, it has become a charity that is close to my heart.
I hope to raise a lot more in the future for Tŷ Hafan as I know this money will be put to good use and the wonderful attention the children receive at Tŷ Hafan will continue being provided.
In December, I organised the ‘twelve exercises of Christmas event’, at Community Fitness gym in Brynmawr, Blaenau Gwent.
Members of the gym participated in a dozen exercises each and were scored on each exercise. Just over £78 was raised for Tŷ Hafan and we should hopefully raise plenty more on a new event planned for March.
On March 6, a tyre will be flipped a total of 1,200 times by members and staff at Community Fitness Gym Brynmawr!
It will be £3 entry and big prizes to be won.
There will be a prize for the most male tyre flips, most female tyre flips and best fancy dressed tyre flipper! If you want to flip the tyre but don’t want to do it alone, then work as a duo as there are prizes for that too - so everyone is in a chance of winning something!
Come and join the crazy tyre flip event Friday 6th March from 1pm – 9pm and be in for the chance of winning a prize!
